Over our years of helping people,  At Your Service knows that most people are looking for certain qualities in an event of life recognition. Therefore, we design each service or event to meet five common expectations:

First, you want a service that is personal – it should reflect the personality and life of the deceased. We consider it our role to provide a service that is specific to the one being recognized. We also make available the opportunity for the participation of family and friends in the service.

Second, you want a service or event that pays honour to the one being recognized. The focus is upon affirming the deceased person and expressing appreciation for his or her presence in our lives.

Third, you are looking for a service that is to the point, instead of drawn out and longer than what is comfortable. Most of our services or events last between 30 – 45 minutes, but the actual time will depend on what is designed as content for the gathering.

Fourth, usually, people want a service or event that has a spiritual feel to it but is not filled with a lot of religious words and actions that are not appropriate for the one deceased or that have no significance for the people gathered. The service providers of At Your Service will not preach or use this time to speak in ways that are not in keeping with your instructions. Should it be your wish, we can provide an event that has no religious content whatsoever.

Fifth, people look for the event that affirms the value of a life, not dwelling unduly on the sadness of death.

We understand these expectations and strive to meet them in every service we provide. To view the variety of services we offer click on the links in the right column.
